Animal games for kids online - 14 games with your pet

YourPet has three places to play: the Park, the Beach and the Mountains. Each one has short games where an animal plays the lead role. Below we describe all 14 games and what they practise.

How do the animal games in YourPet work?

Every game is one short round that lasts 30 to 45 seconds. On a phone you play with your finger, on a computer with the mouse, and the animal runs, jumps, fishes and bounces the ball together with your child. All the games are single-player - there is no chat and there are no other players - and every game can be paused at any moment.

You can play straight away in the browser, without installing anything and without an account. Once you create an account, your own pet appears in the games and earns coins for each round. Coins buy food, treats and toys in the shop, and feeding, walking and playing in pet care also cost coins - so play and care keep each other going.

The Park: 6 games to get started

The Park is the calmest place in the YourPet world. It is good for the first rounds, because every game is built on one simple move.

  • Fishing - cast your rod and pull right when a fish bites. Practises reflexes and patience.
  • Catch the ball - throw the ball with your finger and your pet will fetch it. Practises hand-eye coordination.
  • Obstacle course - tap the screen to jump over bushes and collect coins. Practises reflexes and timing.
  • Tracking - trace the paw prints with your finger all the way to the bone without lifting it. Practises precise movement.
  • Race - tap as fast as you can and overtake three rivals. Practises finger speed.
  • Balloons - pop the balloons before they float too high. Practises focus and quick reactions.

The Beach: 4 summer games

It is summer all year round on the Beach. The games are a little faster than in the Park and more often ask you to predict where something will be next.

  • Seagulls and ice cream - tap the seagulls before they reach your pet’s ice cream. Practises attention and quick reactions.
  • Fishing boat - sail the boat and catch the fish jumping out of the water. Practises coordination and anticipation.
  • Beach volleyball - bounce the ball so it never lands on the sand. Practises reflexes and coordination.
  • Sandcastle - pour each level evenly to build the tallest castle. Practises timing and precision.

The Mountains: 4 games for older and ambitious players

In the Mountains the rounds are the longest and the games call for planning. It is a good next step once the Park and the Beach feel easy.

  • Sheep in the meadow - drive the sheep into the pen by the mountain hut. Practises planning and precise movement.
  • Sled slalom - sled down the slope between the flags. Practises dexterity and focus.
  • Creek jumping - hop from stone to stone across the mountain creek. Practises judging distance and timing.
  • To the summit - climb the rocky ledges and escape the rising mist. Practises quick decisions and reflexes.

Which game for a younger child and which for an older one?

The youngest find it easiest to start with one-move games: Catch the ball, Balloons and the Obstacle course. Older children tend to prefer games that need a plan or a steady rhythm - Sheep in the meadow, Sandcastle and To the summit. This is only a hint: the best way is to play the first round together and see what your child enjoys.

Animal games and screen time

Short rounds are easy to fit into an agreed time: a few games and done. Pet care does not reward sitting for hours, and you can set time limits in your phone or tablet settings. Read more about how we look after children in Child safety.

More games in the pet panel

The Park, the Beach and the Mountains are not everything. With an account, the pet panel has 24 more games: 12 active games with your pet, 3 classics for older players and 9 educational games with a narrator - we describe them in Educational games for kids online. And if you want your own dog or cat in the games, see how to turn a photo of your pet into a virtual pet.
